The heavy apron feeder is installed beneath bins or hoppers carrying a material load. It feeds materials with high bulk density evenly and continuously to crushing, screening or conveying equipment, and is suitable for feeding coarse material and conveying it over short distances. Its main assemblies are the tail unit, conveying assembly, frame, drive unit and head unit.

Working principle

The drive unit moves the conveying assembly to transfer material evenly and continuously from beneath a bin or hopper to downstream equipment over a short distance.
